Dr. Melanie Prewett


Dr. Prewett is a 2003 graduate of Oklahoma State University school of veterinary medicine and a 1999 summa cum laude graduate of Wilkes University. Dr. Prewett joined the practice in 2003.

Dr. Prewett is a 2001 graduate of Oklahoma State university school of veterinary medicine and a 1997 Animal Science graduate of Oklahoma State University. He joined the practice in 2006.

Dr. David Blount

Dr. Blount graduated from Oklahoma State University school of veterinary medicine in 1980 and started practicing in Ft. Smith, AR with Dr. Ray Burd here at Rogers Ave. Animal Clinic.

Dr. Lori Hardin

Dr. Hardin is a 1994 graduate of Oklahoma State University school of veterinary medicine and a 1985 graduate of Southern Methodist University. Dr Hardin has been practicing with us at Rogers Avenue since 2003.


Meet our courteous staff of RAAC

Natalie Sterling, Receptionist

Natalie has been employed as a receptionist at our office since 2001. She and her husband Jake have two beautiful daughters, Emma and Ava. She is also the proud parent of a Golden Retriever, Hudson.

Madhi Grace, Receptionist

Madhi joined the team at RAAC in 2008 after relocating here from her home state of Georgia. She started her veterinary employment in 2005. She is joined in her home by her husband Porter, a playful boxer Roxie and a rescue cat, Mitzi.

Sheila Fender, Veterinary Assistant

Sheila has been an assistant at RAAC since 1996. She is married to Mark and has two daughters and a grandson, Tyler. She is joined in her home by three dogs, three cats and multiple fish both indoor and out.

Briana Carrillo, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Briana has been with us since Feb of 2015. She is the proud parent of Mia and Thor. She also enjoys playing softball and spending time with family.

Chasity Soap, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Chasity has been with RAAC since 2017. She is currently attending Carl Albert State College pursuing her degree.

Desiree Pearson, Receptionist

Desiree has been with us since 2002. She is originally form Arizona and moved to Oklahoma in 1992. Desiree enjoys spending her free time at the lake and with her family.

Davona Gonzalez, Veterinary Assistant

Davona has been with us since 2017 when she moved to the area form Idaho. She has worked in several veterinary practices and brings her knowledge and compassion to our Fort Smith and Sallisaw offices.
